Blue Green Moonrise Sunrise Shell Pendant

The coloration in this beautiful Sunrise Shell is blue / green & gray with hints of blended yellow at the wings and ruffled edges. Shells of this coloration are referred to by locals as "Moonrise Shells" due to their dark shade of blue or green color. They are also sometimes called "Black Sunrise Shells". The underside of the shell is a solid dark color. This mature shell is thick and strong and is 1 1/4 inches with a well defined double bump growth line. This is a very special rare blue / green Sunrise Shell from Oahu's North Shore. One of my favorite seashells from Hawaii.
