Black Moonrise Hawaiian Sunrise Shell Pendant

If you've been waiting for that one very special & rare Moonrise Shell to come along, it is here. Known as a "Black Moonrise" shell, the shell is actually a solid and very dark green in color. The underside is a dark grey. There is a crown of greyish-white color at the hinge area as shown in the pictures. The wings are intact and there are no holes or chips in the seashell. The shell is 1 1/4 inches in size. It has a pronounced growth ring (I call it a double bump) near the top hinge area, then the remainder of the shell has smooth wide ribs extending to the scallop edges. A mature shell, it is thick and solid throughout.
